GENERAL RULES
JUDGES
All adjudicators must have a recognized WDO adjudicator card.
With the WDO judge card, you can judge in World & European Championships, in World Ranking competitions as well as in Competitions, Festivals and Events recognized by the WDO. Having the WDO judge card in your possession, you have the possibility, regardless of level and categories, to judge in all the above competitions organized in Greece by the National Organization CARNELIAN DANCE ASSOCIATION (CDA), the official national representative of the WDO, as well as in competitions of global scope.
Adjudicators for the championships will be selected based on integrity, dance knowledge and recognition within the dance industry.
In order to apply for an adjudicator's license, the following criteria must be met:
- The applicant must be at least 18 years old.
- The applicant must hold the appropriate certification (in the category for which he/she is applying) from the WDO National Organisation to which he/she belongs, to officiate in competitions or hold the appropriate certification from a training organisation acceptable to the WDO , Licentiate level or higher.
Country Representation of Judges:
Judges representing their country must meet at least ONE of the following criteria:
1) Have citizenship by birth or have been naturalized later (depending on the provisions in force in that country).
2) Be permanent residents of this country.
- Annual subscription:
Registration in WDO-CDA will be from 1st January to 31st December every year and will be valid for the current year only.
COMPETITORS
All Competitors must be registered to participate in WDO World & European Championships, World Ranking competitions as well as WDO recognized Competitions, Festivals and Events.
Only WDO-CDA registered competitors will be eligible to receive WDO Ranking Points and Awards in the above competitions organized in Greece by the National Organisation CARNELIAN DANCE ASSOCIATION (CDA), official national representative of WDO.
Registration is open to juveniles, juniors, youth, seniors, amateurs/adults, professionals, students/teachers and amateur/professional as well as formation groups.
All members of Formation Teams participating in any WDO World Championship, European Championship or any WDO-CDA event must register.
Each competitor must register as an individual and ensure that his/her partner is also registered. Registering a dancer in a dance couple does not register the couple.
Student and Amateur: In Student/Teacher and Amateur/Professional categories they can dance in the category below their own, but they cannot dance in the category above their own. This does not allow Category A couples to dance in Category J, under 16.
Definitions
Definition of Professional, Student/Teacher and Amateur/Professional, Dancer.
- Student: In the Student/Teacher Category, is a dancer dancing with a Teacher who is a registered Amateur dancer.
- Amateur: In the Amateur/Professional Category, is a dancer (without professional qualifications) who dances with a registered Professional dancer.
- Professional: A Professional is a professional dancer who must have declared that he is a Professional. By qualifying as a Professional in any of the dance styles within the WDO-CDA, you automatically qualify as a Professional in all other listed styles as well.
By registering with the WDO-CDA you can participate and claim the World and European Championships in the above Categories except: Juvenile I under 8, Student/Teacher and Amateur/Professional under 16.

BASIC MEMBERS
Basic membership allows you to join WDO-CDA without a judge license and can be used by Dance Teachers, Coaches, Dance school Owners.

ORGANISERS
Organisers can request the recognition and support of their National Organisations once they meet all the necessary conditions.
